Today for Indigenous Heritage Month we celebrate Alanis Obomsawin who is a filmmaker, singer, artist and storyteller. Her films address the struggles of Indigenous peoples and show others their perspectives. Her films have won many awards and Alanis herself has been awarded honorary degrees.
